Goddess Saraswathi - The concept

India is the well known country for mythologies and philosophies. I use to admire and observe everything in this planet, you all know about it. One fine day i was staring at the picture of Goddess Saraswathi whom i use to see only when i go for exams in my school days. I use to say mantras and requesting her to make me pass in my examinations. Still now she is not doing that. Don't know why. Ok lets leave that. Its her wish to help me. But i hope one day she will write my exams on behalf of me (as every student thinks in India).

I observed the wonderful concept behind this great Goddess. Wow! I had an anger towards her since she didn't make me to pass in my examinations. SO i was angry with her. So i couldn't observe the concept behind it. But when i tasted the concept behind that beautiful artist's expression. Things changed in my life and there i became the observer and admirer of the ultimate nature. I observed this - it is said that Goddess Saraswathi is the god for education, it can be called as goddess for knowledge. If you want to read this further you have to read these points and observe and admire the above picture. Observe the whole picture, hope you can see her in a white Indian traditional costume-Saree. The color of the Saree is "white", according to psychology of colors - white denotes "purity", "refinement", "chastity", "cleanliness". Knowledge is also the same as the expression of white color. In school we use to gain a lot of knowledge on various subjects. She expresses herself related to those subjects or fields. Observe her deeply. Observe the objects - We can observe a "yellowish round at her back" that represents "light" (Physics), The "rosary" that represents counting(Mathematics), The "palm leaf booklet" represents language(Literature), The "Veena" represents music(Art), Behind her, you can see "Swam" represents animals(Zoology), She is sitting in "Lotus" represents flowers(Botany), The Lotus is in the "water" which represents oceans - unknown is an ocean(Geography), Now we are talking which happened many centuries ago, this becomes History then.

She is wife of Lord Brahma - the god of creation. When creation happens, there comes knowledge. You can't even create anything in this world without the knowledge, and even knowledge can't be created without the creation. Both are same - Knowledge and Creation. He has 4 heads that denotes four directions, he creates in all directions, and he is also old that denotes the maturity in all directions and creations.

In India it is said that where the River Ganges and River Yamuna meets, there is River Saraswathi. We can't see that River Saraswathi. Here there is a deeper meaning behind the Goddess of Knowledge. I was amazed when i observed it. We can't see River Saraswathi - Can we ever judge the knowledge of a person by looking at him? We can observe his wealth and health easily but we can't see his ocean of knowledge. How we can't see River Saraswathi likewise we can observe one's knowledge too. The River moves, we can't catch the water and say that this is the same water which we caught yesterday. Likewise a learner would not say that this is the same knowledge which i gained yesterday, because a learner always learns and learns, he gains knowledge in everything. Knowledge can be said as "manifestation" "growing" always, forever. Knowledge is knowing and learning every precious moments of Life. Knowledge is realization. I saw the greatest art behind Goddess Saraswathi.

Knowledge - Wisdom - Realization = Goddess Saraswathi...!!!!!

When you know a thing, to hold that you know it, and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it - this is knowledge. - Confucius

The missing link between Life and Love

My dad had written an article on "the missing link between science and spirituality". Its a great one. So with this inspiration, here i come out with mine.. This is about "the missing link between life and love..." this is related with science and spirituality, wait wait.. don't get tensed, patience is needed in all walks of life... let me make you to understand...

Here i say Life is somewhat Science oriented, since life is experimental always, consciously or unconsciously one experiments life. Life is full of questions and the need to find the answer. But love is spiritual where love cannot be experimented or taught to others, it is an in-depth feeling. Only we can feel it, if we try to explain also no one can understand because love is difficult to explain but it is easy to understand. Love cannot be calculated, you can measure the love with any scale and give the same to other. Life can be measured, they days you lived happily, sadly, angrily etc. Every one can measure it. We need a pen and paper to analyze and write about the days in life. Life can be researched, you can learn about it from someone. Love cant be learn, its natural it is in the existence before life itself, We all have come to this world is because of love only. You think for a while and see, many won't care about life at all but they care and scream for love. In todays life people are running and missing the love in life, they work with pressures and they are not aware about the happenings inside them. I was talking to a person, he kept on talking and talking, rather than me if anyone heard him talking they will say "this man is an idiot, keeps on talking, always he is saying about his younger days and its pressures." Of course he has to throw it out. There were no one to listen to him, show him courtesy and listen to his stories. His heart have been throbbing for long days to say about his story, no one is there to listen. Due to this, since he doesn't have any guidance. He kept his struggles, pressures, stress, failures with him buried for long days, no one to share. He filled his cup completely. He became the strict person in this planet, he use to talk about perfection - he needs everything perfect, not even a chair should move without his permission and in his absence if anybody moves or alters anything in his room (like moving a chair) the very next day he will find out and shout at them. He needs perfection always. But this is the so called "perfection". How can all and everything in life be perfect? Ok lets come to the story of this so called perfectionist. Lets analyze his life, why this guy is doing like this? the point is there is no one to interact with love, but if you go and start interacting he will talk what he wants, he has his own belief systems, and his ego wouldn't allow him to come out of it. And due to the lack of gaining knowledge, he is in his younger days and sees the world through that. Some people are there, they accept the technological developments and its uses, but they wont accept the development of lifestyle. They will use iphone but they will not put a message to their wife "honey, i love you and i miss you". To their sons and daughters, they are not aware at all about their fathers. Likewise in this man's life to happened, his daughter struggled a lot to change him and make him to understand about her love and wishes to live life and love life. This didn't happen at all. She came to me and told everything about her father's strictness and others. She is need of love and she is struggling to live life. Due to her father's lack of love and strictness, this girl had also got the anger from the father. She had showed her anger by beating herself, spoiling her life without studying anything, without interacting to people because she didnt learn to interact. If you talk to her, you will also get that anger in you. So now its time to enter into her small beautiful heart and fly like a butterfly. So that her heart will blossom like a flower.

I told her a story. Dear Shoba, Once a guy learn't to swim, While he was swimming - this time he decided to go as deep as possible. He was ready with his oxygen mask and went in, on the 100th feet, he saw a man in a distant coming down without any oxygen. He got amazed "how this is possible without oxygen", he left off then. Later on the 300th, he saw him again. And again in the 500, this time he decided should catch him and ask him the secret of swimming such a depth without any life things. He went near him and caught him "Hello sir, this is Nandha, i am amazed how you came so deep without any life things? Can you please teach me the secret? Sine I am a new learner and i love to learn things in life, please teach me the secret? The other guy got irritated and told "Idiot, I am sinking please save me for god's sake". Read this carefully. Likewise only many of us, leave others by believing that they are swimming, no not at all, they are sinking. We need to save them. Now next question was thrown towards me "How to do it. Mr. G", See the anger in her words, here she thought of inserting some other horrible word but since he was talking to me, admiring my words she changed. I kept myself as positive as i can, so here i go. "Dearest Shoba, you just need to pour some love into their cup, you need to talk to them as soft as possible. Its not difficult at all, have you ever observed the statue of "Buddha" the enlightened guy, whenever you see or observe there will be a great peace or silence in our heart. Since Buddha's love is like that. Sameway if you want to change a person, just pour some love into their cup but remember you cup should be filled with love. Take this oath: First Accept Yourself, Love Yourself, Be yourself. Now you will be ready to do it. And also remember this, the knowledge cup which you gained should be cleaned and refilled always, since knowledge is vast and we have lot and lots of time to explore it. You can see a person and say about his knowledge, it always hidden like saraswathi river. It is said that the joining point of the two rivers - ganga and yamuna is saraswathi. You cant see it, since it is hidden. And so the knowledge is hidden. So update your knowledge, learn as much as possible. Have a great faith in you and patience to learn and explore things. Now you can meet you dad and give him a hug or ly down in his lap, pour your love or anyother feelings, Make him to believe that you are there for him. Thank him first for bringing you to this marvellous planet and exploring great things in life. Thank him. Now there will be a enormous change in his activities, he will feel that he had missed his life, wasting round the clock beating himself and showing the anger to you. Pour your love to him. Automatically his cup will be filled with love. There is a saying in tamil "Karaipar karaithaal kallum karaiyum" That is, Even we can dissolve stones. And one of my favorite for patience by the lyricst "Vairamuthu" "Thaneerai kooda salladaiel allalam, pani katti agum varai kaathiru" "You can filter even water, you need to wait until it becomes a snow". So just try to keep these things in mind. You can BE THE CHANGE!!!!

Dear friends, hope you might have sensed the missing link between life and love, life needs love to live life. And love needs life. Both are the most important thing in this world, one cannot exists without the other. Show love as much as you can. So that the whole world will be with love and your life will also be filled with love and you will start to live life without the tensions, pressures, distress etc...!! Do the best!

Remember: I have mentioned the word "love", here i come to say "beyond the word love", since we need to depend on the words which the language as got. But here i mean "beyond the word love", we cant explain about it. You have to feel it.!!!

Accept Yourself.....

"Accept yourself as you are. And that is the most difficult thing in the world, because it goes against your training, education, your culture. From the very beginning you have been told how you should be. Nobody has ever told you that you are good as you are

Dont be obsessed with yourself -- but a natural self-love is a must, a basic phenomenon. Only then out of it can you love somebody else. Accept yourself, love yourself.

Nobody else has ever been like you and nobody else will ever be like you; you are simply unique, incomparable. Accept this, love this, celebrate this -- and in that very celebration you will start seeing the uniqueness of the others, the incomparable beauty of the others. Love is possible only when there is a deep acceptance of oneself, the other, the world. Acceptance creates the milieu in which love grows, the soil in which love blooms." - Ocean

Competition

There is no need of competition with anybody.
You are yourself,
and as you are,
you are perfectly good.
Accept yourself.

Maturity.....

"Maturity" - from my childhood days, whatsoever i try to do people use to stop those things and say "You are not that much matured, So wait for the maturity." Till now people are like that expressing other people to become mature. Later I thought of going into a deep research to reveal the mystery "Maturity", is it a special thing or destination where anyone can travel and go there? Or it is biological or psychological or what it is? Psychically one can see the maturity but is it the right to say that this is mature? After a lot of research (yes around more than 15 years), I found this which i am sharing with you, it not just a story to be read. I is a beyond a story that has to be perceived in a different way. Should try to see things in a different way. This has been taken from the ocean and given to you, if you want to know this, you have to mix in the ocean. Come , jump into it.

I have read....

A thief entered a mystic's hut. It was full moon night, and by mistake he had entered; otherwise, what can you find in a mystic's house? The thief was looking and was amazed that there was nothing- and then suddenly he saw a man who was coming with a candle in his hand. The man said, "What are you looking for in the dark? Why did you not wake me up? I was just sleeping near the front door, and I could have showed you the whole house." And he looked so simple and so innocent, as if he could not conceive that anybody could be a thief.

In the face of such simplicity and innocence the thief said, "Perhaps you do not know that I am a thief." The mystic said, "That doesn't matter, everybody has to be someone. The point is that I have been in the house for thirty years and i have not found anything, so let us search together! And if we can find something we can be partners. I have not found anything in this house-it is just empty." The thief was a little afraid the man seems to be strange! Either he is mad or...who knows what kind of man he is? He wanted to escape, and besides he had brought things from two other houses that he had left outside the house.

The mystic had only one blanket-that was all that he had- and it was a cold night, so he told that thief, "Don't leave in the way, don't insult me this way; otherwise I will never be able to forgive myself, that a poor man came to my house in the middle of the night and had to go empty-handed. Just take this blanket. And it will be good-outside it is so cold. I am inside the house it is warmer here.

He covered the thief with his blanket. the thief was just losing his mind! He said, "What are you doing? I am a thief!"

The mystic said, "That does not matter. In this world everybody, everybody has to be somebody, has to do something. You may be stealing, that doesn't matter-a profession is a profession. Just do it well, with all my blessings, Do it perfectly, don't be caught; otherwise you will be in trouble."

The thief said, "You are strange. You are naked, and you don't have anything...."

The mystic said, Don't be worried, because I am coming with you! Only the blanket was keeping me in this house, otherwise in this house there is nothing-and the blanket I have given to you. I am coming with you-we will live together! And you seem to have many things; it is a good partnership. I have given my all to you, you can give  me a little bit-that will be right. The thief could not believe it. He just wanted to escape from that place and from that man. He said, "No, I cannot take you with me. I have my wife, I have my children. And my neighbors, what will they say if i bring a naked man to my house....?"

The mystic said, "That's right. I will not put you in any embarrassing situation. So you can go, I will remain in this house." And as the thief was going, the mystic shouted, "Hey! Come back!" The thief had never heard such a strong voice; it went just like a knife. He had to come back. The mystic said,"Learn some ways of courtesy. I have given you the blanket and you have not even thanked me. So first, thank me-it will help you a long way. Second, going out.... you opened the door when you came in-close the door! Can't you see the night is so cold, and cant you  see that i have given you the blanket and I am naked? Your being a thief is okay; but as far as manners are concerned, I am a difficult man. I cannot tolerate this kind of behavior. Say thank you!"

The thief had to say. "Thank you, sir," and he closed the door and escaped. He could not believe what happened! He could not sleep the whole night and for the next three days. Again and again he remembered... he had never heard such a strong voice, such power.

And the man had nothing!

He inquired the next day and he found out that this man was a great master. He had not done well-it was absolutely ugly to go that poor man, he had nothing. But he was a great Master.

The thief said, "That i can understand myself-he is a very strange kind of man. In my whole life I have been coming in contact with different kinds of people, from the poorest to the richest, but never..... even remembering him, a shivering goes through my body.

When he called me back I could not run away. I was absolutely free, I could have taken the things and run away but I could not. There was something in his voice that pulled me back."

After a few months the thief was caught, and in the court the magistrate asked him, "Can you name a person who knows you in this vicinity?"

He said, "Yes, one person knows me," and he named the Master.

The magistrate said, "That's enough-call the Master. His testimony is worth that of ten thousand people. What he says about you will be enough to give judgment."

The magistrate asked the Master, "Do you know this man?" He said, "Know him? We are partners! He is my friend, he even visited me one night in the middle of the night. It was so cold that I gave him my blanket. He is using it, you can see. That blanket is famous all over the country; everybody knows it is mine." The magistrate said, "He is your friend? And does he steal?"

The Master said. "Never! He can never steal. He is such a gentleman that when I gave him the blanket he said to me, 'Thank you, sir.' When he went out the house, he silently closed the door. He is polite, nice fellow." The magistrate said, "If you say so, then all the testimonies of the witnesses who have said that he is a thief are canceled. He is freed." The mystic went out and the thief followed him. The mystic said, "What are you doing? Why are you coming with me?"

He said, "Now I can never leave you. You have called me your friend, you have called me your partner. Nobody has ever given me any respect. You are the first person who has said that I am a gentleman, a nice person. I am going to sit at your feet and learn how to be like you. From where have you got this "maturity", this power, this strength, this seeing of things in a totally different way?"

The mystic replied, "Do you know that night how bad I felt? You had gone-it was so could without a blanket that sleep was not possible. I was just sitting by the window watching the full moon, and I wrote a poem: 'If I were rich enough I would have given this perfect moon to that poor fellow, who had come in the dark to search for something in a poor man's house. I would have given the moon if I had been rich enough, but I am poor myself.' I will show you the poem, come with me.

"I wept that night, that thieves should learn a few things. At least they should inform a day or two ahead when they come to a man like me so we can arrange something, so they don't have to go empty-handed. And it is good that you remembered me in the court; otherwise those fellows are dangerous, they might have mistreated you. I offered that very night to come with you and be partners with you, but you refused. Now you want to come with me! There is no problem, you can come; whatever I have I will share with you.

But it is not material, it is something invisible."

The thief said, "That I can feel-it is something invisible. But you have saved my life, and now my life is yours. Make whatever you want to make of it, I have been simply wasting it. Seeing you, looking in your eyes, one thing is certain-that you can transform me. I have fallen in love from that very night."

Maturity is a spiritual phenomenon.

It is very difficult to become this mature but I am trying to, yes I have started. I am the disciple to this mystic........
