Goddess Saraswathi - The concept

India is the well known country for mythologies and philosophies. I use to admire and observe everything in this planet, you all know about it. One fine day i was staring at the picture of Goddess Saraswathi whom i use to see only when i go for exams in my school days. I use to say mantras and requesting her to make me pass in my examinations. Still now she is not doing that. Don't know why. Ok lets leave that. Its her wish to help me. But i hope one day she will write my exams on behalf of me (as every student thinks in India).

I observed the wonderful concept behind this great Goddess. Wow! I had an anger towards her since she didn't make me to pass in my examinations. SO i was angry with her. So i couldn't observe the concept behind it. But when i tasted the concept behind that beautiful artist's expression. Things changed in my life and there i became the observer and admirer of the ultimate nature. I observed this - it is said that Goddess Saraswathi is the god for education, it can be called as goddess for knowledge. If you want to read this further you have to read these points and observe and admire the above picture. Observe the whole picture, hope you can see her in a white Indian traditional costume-Saree. The color of the Saree is "white", according to psychology of colors - white denotes "purity", "refinement", "chastity", "cleanliness". Knowledge is also the same as the expression of white color. In school we use to gain a lot of knowledge on various subjects. She expresses herself related to those subjects or fields. Observe her deeply. Observe the objects - We can observe a "yellowish round at her back" that represents "light" (Physics), The "rosary" that represents counting(Mathematics), The "palm leaf booklet" represents language(Literature), The "Veena" represents music(Art), Behind her, you can see "Swam" represents animals(Zoology), She is sitting in "Lotus" represents flowers(Botany), The Lotus is in the "water" which represents oceans - unknown is an ocean(Geography), Now we are talking which happened many centuries ago, this becomes History then.

She is wife of Lord Brahma - the god of creation. When creation happens, there comes knowledge. You can't even create anything in this world without the knowledge, and even knowledge can't be created without the creation. Both are same - Knowledge and Creation. He has 4 heads that denotes four directions, he creates in all directions, and he is also old that denotes the maturity in all directions and creations.

In India it is said that where the River Ganges and River Yamuna meets, there is River Saraswathi. We can't see that River Saraswathi. Here there is a deeper meaning behind the Goddess of Knowledge. I was amazed when i observed it. We can't see River Saraswathi - Can we ever judge the knowledge of a person by looking at him? We can observe his wealth and health easily but we can't see his ocean of knowledge. How we can't see River Saraswathi likewise we can observe one's knowledge too. The River moves, we can't catch the water and say that this is the same water which we caught yesterday. Likewise a learner would not say that this is the same knowledge which i gained yesterday, because a learner always learns and learns, he gains knowledge in everything. Knowledge can be said as "manifestation" "growing" always, forever. Knowledge is knowing and learning every precious moments of Life. Knowledge is realization. I saw the greatest art behind Goddess Saraswathi.

Knowledge - Wisdom - Realization = Goddess Saraswathi...!!!!!

When you know a thing, to hold that you know it, and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it - this is knowledge. - Confucius
